| Wanted to get everyones take on some the new shows coming out.. 1st one is "Ghost Hunters Academy" http://www.syfy.com/gha/ I dont know about this one myself but hey im always excited about a new show coming out! Next we have "Ghost Lab" http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/ghost-lab-disturbing-the-peace/?campaign=dsc-int-hp-dl-gl now this one really caught my eye as they have ALL the great equipment (and those that know me, know Im all about equipment) but after watching it was a little disappointed on the evidence. I really thought with all those toys they could have caught something, like one of the claims was that the door that "apparently" opened and closed and well you guessed it supposedly did during the night while they were there but you guessed it NOT caught on tape. Now in my opinion I would have had a static cam on it the WHOLE time! right? So anyway I really like the angles and different things they are trying and hope that next time they put a cam in the "action" area! lol and finally Animal Planet has one coming out next month called "The Haunted" http://press.discovery.com/us/apl/programs/haunted-wt/ this one seems to have a good angle take and may just take off. We have taken a police k9 along with us on a investigation to see if we would get any responses but due a police call the k9 was only there for a brief time but hope to try again soon, we do believe it is possible they may be able to see/hear things we cant and hope to get some evidence of it in future investigations. So please let me know what your alls ideas and thoughts are on these. | |

| I think The Haunted is going to be an awesome show, it debuts on Nov 22nd, runs thru Dec, breaks for holidays then resums in Jan, I THINK every 1 should watch these episodes =) I do also believe animals CAN see things we cant, just as children. | |

| Hummmm,
I did not see the episode of Ghost Lab but it does frustraight me when you have the TV groups with all this equipment and then dont use it or use it in the wrong place. Like Taps putting a water bottle the window ledge in the bath room after seeing shadows. Then they come back and the water bottle is moved. Would it have been so hard to leave a camera there? To me that just seems like common sence especially if you have all the equipment they have. Or even after it happens try to get it to happen again and put a camera on it but no they just look with a dumbfounded look on there face as if they are not even there to investigate.
I am curious about "The Haunted" though. I do feel that animals see things that we can not. Everyone knows most animals only see black and white which is a different spectrum than humans. Investigators like Berry on GHI have been using different spectrum cameras that capture things that are not on the regular camera shots so why would it not be the same for animals that see different spectrums.

| I was interested in seeing ghost lab but I missed it. Will tape it next time. There are so many shows out there now that it is hard to keep track of them. | |

| PLease read this article concerning Animal Planet and their new show. It seems that they have caused a big problem for the Weavers up in Cleveland by telling local media about the Weavers. I don't think I'd want to associate myself with Animal Planet for this project if this is what they do to people. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2009/10/ghs.htmlGhost Lab does sound interesting, I'll have to watch that one, maybe get some ideas for new toys | |

| ok i have to say that article was ridiculus...alll this "they say" crap. i think the writer completely overembellished. there are so many people in this world that believe in the paranormal. whether or not animal planet tipped people off or not when the show airs that would have happened anyways. as far as people asking if they can "see their ghosts" they shouldnt be embarrassed at all it shows that people are interested.(yes i understand that they want their privacy but if that is the case dont agree to be put on tv) its not like 20 years ago when someone said they see spirits and people think theyre crazy...people are alot more accepting these days..besides the paranormal is hot right now between ghosts and vampires.
i do believe that animals are more sensitive to spirits than humans are..so i will be watching "the haunted".
mike i totally agree with you on the "taps" thing as well. i missed ghost lab what channel does that air on?

| Let me start by saying I love DVR's!!!!!
Me and Liz have been keeping up with the latest shows, and there are some inconsistencies.
Ghost lab for instance, at the beginning of the show they stated that one of the claims was the door opening by itself, and they said that they had a camera trained on that door to catch it but as it turns out they said they didn't catch it....hmmmmm sounds like TV high-ted ratings actions taking place. Other than that I like the fact that they are scientific in testing new things out, things that i have thought of long before but don't have the money for the equipment :'(
As for TAPS, you would think after doing this field in the time that they have that they would have simply put a camera in the bathroom at the time, ( and under the circumstance). There has been times with us that I wanted to kick myself in the ass though because we caught some great evp's of movement and voices that back up claims made by the business owner , Liz told me to put a camera in there at the time but i was thinking of battery time. My decision could have resulted in video evidence loss so i guess it comes back to being in the right place at the right time, I think all of us get so wrapped up in investigating that we forget the obvious.

| I have to give it up to Ghost Lab, they do things scientifically, test new methods and have the tech to do it with. I like this show and it gives a good outlook on Paranormal Investigators. Oh I noticed they are using Adobe audition 3.0, I thought I was the only one Best evp software out there baby!!!! | |
