my history with the paranormal

well i feel the need to share and get some feedback about my personal experiences with the paranormal. my first ghost encounter was when i was four years old. my father was in the military and my family and i were taken halfway across the world to germany. i remember feeling this intense history there and being completely captivated..i distinctly remember when we walked into our new home, which what a duplex that we shared with an older german couple, that i felt like i was being watched and a heaviness in the air. i was uneasy, and i told my mother i wanted to go home. i guess she thought i was just home sick and told me to make the best of it. so i didnt speak of how i felt again. one early morning i remember waking up with a start and feeling very cold. the bathroom light was the only light in the house, and my bed was set up to where if i sat up i could see down the hallway. standing there was the dark figure of a man. i remember that he was absolutly solid and the light went around his sillouette. he was tall and stocky. i yelled for him to go away and just like that he did. i told my mother the next day and she wrote it off as a bad dream. from then on every night he woke my up, and every night i told him to leave me alone. other things started happening in the house while i was dealing with this. i remember feeling a static in the air, and then all of the buttons on the sterio was turned on and the volume was up full blast. and my mother started waking up to the feeling of someone grabbing at her and trying to pull her off of her bed..( which she didnt tell me until i confided in her later about my experiences. this went on for the entirity of our stay, and we lived in fear. my father didnt believe and if he had we still would have been stuck until our deployment was over. about two years later my uncle michael passed away from a brain tumor, and i started to see him in our home in germany. he would tell me things, like his favorite songs to play on the guitar, and models that he liked to build. this information would slip out while i was talking to my mother and she really didnt know how to make of it. these types of encounters have continued into my adult life. just last night i awoke to hear heavy footsteps walk from my side of the bed to the foot and a weight press as if someone has sat down. the last full body apparition that i have seen when i was sixteen. it terrified me. my home was set up where i had the back room, and if i sat up in my bed i could see all the way down the hallway into our living room again. the bathroom light always stays on. i awoke at 5:36 am and my room was freezing. the hairs stood on the back of my neck, and i knew something wasn't right. i grabbed my glasses, sat up, and looked down the hallway to the living room. i could see a dark shape moving around in the room, it was darker than the rest of the room. it then glided towards me down the hallway until it reached the light of the bathroom, then it became transparent. it was a hooded figure....and in my hysteria i thought death had come for me....i was frozen and watched it glide to my door and disappear. the temperature went back to normal. of course this had a lasting effect. to this day i still get afraid in that house. because of all of this i have had an extreme interest in paranormal investigations...i try to get answers as to what in the world goes on with me...in my honest opinion i am a sensitive individual because very frequenty i have weird things happen......actually about an hour ago my radio turned back on after me turning it off earlier in the day and even unplugging it to vacume......i know im not crazy, i just always seem to have activity follow me around.....but as i said instead of being afraid i try to learn and do as much as i can to be in control of the situation......any opinions or feedback would be great......just want to see if there are others who have had stuff like this happen as frequently as i seem to do...thanks for listening

Great story Phoenix, well, maybe not to you back then as a child I know it had to be scary and thanks for sharing them with us. Yes, we have came into people that feel as activity has followed them throughout their life, one particular case is a home we did last year here in Cincinnati, the guy said things have been surrounding him since childhood as well and still does, so what we did was go to his house, set up for a normal investigation but we kept him in there with us as we did it since it was his belief it was him that was haunted and not the house and we indeed did get a few evp's from there and he stated before the investigation, one of the entities following him was 1 of a child and we did get a child's voice on an evp, so yes, these things do happen and your are by no means alone. You could be sensitive or it could be someone that has passed away and just staying with you for one reason or another, obviously they have not tried to harm you in anyway, so thats a possibility. I believe you stated in introducing yourself that you were investigating with a group for awhile but it split up? Did you try to get some answers from your home with yourself? Not alone of course but maybe with your group? That might be something you may wanna do or have another team do it with you there and see maybe if you can get something on audio that may clarify who it may be or if it infact mihgt be someone in your family that has passed or something.

as far as me having spirits around me that is a strong possibility....i have lost five family members, all being either aunts and uncles or great grandparents, so i can see that. i was with a group, and yes we had a falling out...basically i tried to be scientific about it and they well....were getting a bit tooo weirdfor me.. lol and im pagan so that says something..and i felt the werent trying to properly debunk. while together i never had the group investigate me.....they knew i had personal experiences but i guess we had bigger fish to fry so to speak. i have wanted to set up some recorders during the night myself to see if i catch any evps because very often i will wake up to a child giggling. i have a four year old son...but when this happens i check on him and he is out cold.

Yea, debunking is definitly a must do, if not, ur bound to have all kinds of false evidence, thats something that we always do right off and we go in as skeptics so once we do debunk everything and go in with the mindset the place is not haunted, if we do collect some evidence, if it cant be explained and debunked that leaves only 1 other answer, its paranormal. Yea if they knew that you were having experiences, they should of made that priority since you were a member of the same group, I know if any of my group started having experiences, we would not hesitate or they would not have to even ask the rest of us because myself of 1 of the others would automatically see if they wanted us to come in and do their place, but guess not everyone has same priorities lol Yea, maybe you should do that, but again, I would not do it alone, you hould have someone there with you for different reasons but mainly safety, I mean, as I said before, obviously they are not wanting nor trying to harm you, but still better safe then sorry and also to have some 1 to back up your claims as well. Unless you do like you said and just set up some recorders during the nite while you are sleeping.

yeah i was so eager to join a group, but it was an amature one, and not the best fit for me....lol and you would think they would have wanted to be apparently where the action is ....as far as an investigation goes i know it would be best to have a group come in, so that you have people to verify evidence hasnt been tampered with, and witnesses to back up any personal experienes. i am interested in trying to catch evps while sleeping...but i dont want to open any more doors than i may have already open

hahaha Right, obviously they should of wanted to be there since there is activity Yea, you gotta definitly get in a group that meets ur standards and does things the way you would do them and also that your personalilities dont clash, you will see us from our group play with eachother and be smart and ACT mean, but its all outta fun, we all get along in our group great, we talk to eachother outside of the group and besides group related issues, we have fun when its the time for fun, then get serious when its time for business. Yea, that stops alot of peole from getting investigatins done, thinking it will disrupt the spirits or make them mad or whatever, thats totally not true, if you have ghost, you have em, if they are mean, they are mean, your not going to cause them to be mad or anything because you try to learn about them orspeak with them But yea, if you dont feel comfortable settig up recorders, then I wouldnt do it because it might make you start feeling uneasy about your home or worry about things more. I seen your from Louisville, we were just down there at the old Louisville coffee house investigated on the 3rd, we are coming back down in July to investigate the baxter Morgue, cant wait for that 1 =) We have done alot of p[laces, homes & businesses and out of the 20 something investigations we have done, 2 had something evil in them and 1 was a bar Bobby Mackey's, which Im sure you have probably heard about, everyone knows of there lol we have investigated it twice, we have a video of 1 of the investigators being shoved up against the wall by something unseen, was pretty awesome lol Its on our website.. www.nkyps.com . we have a couple other video's as well, 1 of an apparition in a home ion Vevay, Indiana, that is toally awesome. And if you ever do want a team to come down there to investigate for you, let us know, we have no problem driving, we are only a little over an hour away, so would not be a problem =) I'm sure you will like it on here on our forum, like I said, we are active on here as you can see lol someone is on here always throughout the day and I keep mine logged in during the day, even if I am away, so I do check it as soon as I get back around.

I totaly agree with everything Christel said. That is so awesome that you still remember things that your Uncle talked about after he passed. I just wanted to make sure I was understanding you that you asked your mother questions later about the songs and models that you could not have known or talked to your Uncle about when he was alive?

People in my family have had similar experiences with family members passing and visiting them after to let them know for some reason or another, but I don't think they have really lingered. I think it would definetly be interesting to investigate your house to try and see if it is a family member or maybe to see if you are sensitive. Some believe that the dead know when people are sensitive and if they have something unfinished may try to contact you for help. I would say that for your families safety if you do investigate have your family stay somewhere else, which Im sure you would but I just feel better saying it.

i do think i am going to go ahead and put out the recorders....and if i get any evidence i can let you all take a look at it if you want.i dont think that its anything bad,.....i have had experiences with negative things before and they definatly have a different feel about them.but ill send my son to my moms when i do it. i actually live in elizabethtown ky......so its a bit farther for you all but i may have you come out to see what you can find......and if you all come to louisville or anywhere else and need an extra hand, i would be more than willing to volunteer.....i think that you all are mature and have your stuff together. idk what kind of things you would have to do to join, but i would be interested. and as for your question mike......i knew things after his death that no one told me before. it kinda scared the family. he died in his twentys from a brain tumor....so i could see if he feels he has unfinished business......i dream about him alot to this day.

I know where E-Town is, we have been to Bardstown too but I have a couple friends that live in E-Town that I became friends with thru myspace and used to meet at 6 flags every Fri for last three years =) I want to do that cemetary there, my friend Ashley tried to get the phone number from there on who to contact but did not see a number, I think they call it Hells Gate cemetary or something like that, I know has Hell in it lol Yes of course, would be glad to listen to it if you set up the recorders =) Then if you would like us to come down, thats fine too, all ya gotta do is let us know.

lol yeah your talking of the "gates of hell" i have done several investigations there while i was in the old group....we caught some evps, orbs, and a red mist in some of our pictures....of course i dont have the evidence though because of the falling out...but it is a pretty active place.....you run into cold spots, feeling like your being watched, and battery drain there.....its a decent place to go. and ill let you all know about when i can work it out for you all to come down.....are you going to the indi paranormal convention???? looks like i may be going up there.....just curious....

Yea thats the place lol No, I went to the 1 they had down there a couple months ago though, I am the media director for another paranormal radio show called CPR they will be there =) We are having a fundraiseing event in July here and raffing off few things, including an investigation with us if you would like to come up for that as well =) And yes, anytime ya ready, just let us know about that and we will set it up =)
