| Yea, I think they are making that as well as Bobby Mackeys more out to be then it is, dont get me wrong, Mackeys is definitly haunted, we have investigated twice there and have some great evp's as well as a video, but they hype these places up so much that they wanna charge million dollars just about to even get into them, that burns me up, I mean seriously, what would you be doing if we wasnt there paying you to invest? Nothing at all so, making less money, but still making some, is better then making none at all, but whatever lol But we have not went to Waverly YET, but tis on the list, whenever we get a chance that is =) | |

Agreed. Gotta admit though, that it does pay for their upkeep! We've been talking about taking a team trip up to Waverly when all this economic B.S. settles down.

| Silly kids...there is no Sanity Clause! That is totally ludicrous. I do understand the novelty, and it probably helps to act like a filter to keep the damages to a minimum, but $500, jeez. Other than the cost of traveling to a famous purpoted 'haunt', I don't think that any place is worth spending that much just to gain access. | |

| Don't forget the Payne-Gentry House in Missouri. That, last time I was there, was like $5 per person for the tour.. I don't know how much they would charge for an investigation though. | |

| Anything from $5-$20 for a tour is fine. At that point, you're really only paying the tour guide, and maybe a little goes into the location. | |

| Mackeys boosted up the prices because Ghost Adventures and Shannon came in who I believe go sent some evidence of ours. So dont send out anymore evidence to famous groups if you like the location and dont want them to boost their prices up. Hopefully when people stop paying the outragious amount they will stop being greedy and lower it. But I can see TAPS coming in and investigating there which is going to drive up the price even more!! Hopefully not though. | |

| i dont like the reputation of the businesses that do that, if they have investigators they know we are all non-profit and also providing them advertising from evidence but yet we have to pay them to do it lol. I understand due to how many ppl want to investigate there should be a price, but to raise it because u got on tv is rediculous! isnt bobby mackeys making enough money already? his business isnt even open during the week so you know the business is fine or it would be open 7 days a week. Just kinda ticks me off because i have always wanted to go there cuz i lived 3 miles from it almost my whole life. | |

I think it depends on the venue. We were up in Savannah a few weeks ago, and the Sorrell-Weed House (featured on TAPS, HGTV, and the Travel Channel) still has verrrry reasonable prices for the tours, which include listening to a CD of the EVP's that TAPS collected while investigating there. We didn't think to inquire about the possibility of doing an investigation, so I don't know if they'd charge for one, or not.
