I have to admit TAPS " The Atlantic Paranormal Society" was the reason I actually got interested in investigating the paranormal. I have had my own personal experience in my life that could not be explained. Some of which I think I would have thought I was crazy except for other people being able to witness the same thing. TAPS made me understand as well as many others that paranormal activity can be documented and recorded with the right tools.
So here is my problem. Ever since I have started investigating I no longer watch TAPS for the entertainment value. I watch it more for the investigating stand point as to where they put there cameras, voice recorders, what to say on an investigation, and ect.... Based upon my own experiences with NKYPS we have developed our own way that we like our equipment set up on an investigation as do other groups. So why is it that every time a TAPS investigator sees a shadow or apparition the camera man focuses in on the investigator and not where the investigator is looking. I have also noticed TAPS investigators will experience something paranormal and not get a camera or recorder to try and document it when it happens a third and forth time. I also think they can do away with dramatic music, it kills the audio. Is it just my knowledge and experience that is telling me what I would do in that situation or do they seem to be looking at the TV ratings more than the investigating?
I know one of the biggest controversies surrounding TAPS was on the Halloween live episode where Grant had his jacket pulled. I still have mixed feelings about if that was real or just a clever magic trick. One reason because they actually had a camera on it. Two the way Grant pulled his leg back did not seem consistent with someone pulling on the back of a jacket unless they stopped you dead in your tracks and you only see a tug on his hood as if he is going with it. If that was me and someone was pulling on my jacket I would be trying to pull away. Not because I'm scare but to turn around to see who was pulling on my jacket. And also for it to of happened three times and he was walking around the same area makes it a little more questionable. So let me hear what you think.
