So I have been asked quite a few times on myspace by ppl wanting to become an investigator, start groups and so on, so thought I would post it here.....

The questions is how many ppl does it take to conduct an investigation?

There is no set amount on how many people is to do a location but the way OUR groups does it is depending on the size of the location, first and foemost NEVER try to go anywhere alone to do an investigation, this is for a couple of different reasons, safety being first and foremost.
But with our group if it is a small location, we have our "core" group, which is our original members.... Matt, Myself, Like, Liesha & Kristin.....
Usually only 4 of us will go to a small location because very rearely is all 5 available, if more members can be taken, then we start adding from oldest to newest members, if everyone in group can be taken if the location is big enough, then we will take everyone, but unfortunately, most Prvt Resdiences are not big for that to happen.

Hope this help everyone....

It's nice to have a group arranged for size of the place investigating like she said. I am new in this but i have noticed sometimes having too many members in a small area can cause problems in hearing possible evp's on audio because there is so many people 1 whisper or distant voice can seem to be paranormal. Also if an intelligant haunting, too many ppl in 1 room can in some cases deterr a spirit. I just recently investigated cody rd. and had problems with evidence from too many people.

Yes too many people can cause problems, but no matter how many ppl is on an investigation Mike, always remember who was where and with whom, memorize everyone who is on the investigations voice, make it clear that no 1 is to whisper on an investigation (as I told u on the phone), if ppl want to talk, speak in your normal everyday voice, that way you can tell on the audio if its an investigator or not.... Try to spread every 1 out, there should not be no more then 3 ppl in one area investigating at 1 time, we try to only have 2 unless there is an odd number of investigators there.

Good topic, i think no more than three people doing the walk through investigation at a time. Spirits need to feel comfortable in order to come out and play (so to speak).

The same apples for evp's, you might not get anything the first time but once you go back there it is almost like the spirit gets more comfortable with you as time goes on. They can see the pattern if you go at the same time over and over. Oh and by the way don't be surprised if they can read too affraid

Just a reminder:
During groups going through the walk through be mindful that there could be radio contact from the group to base and that could effect your emf detectors Embarassed
