PostSubject: i have a recording studio   Sun Oct 31, 2010 10:06 pm

i have a great home recording studio but i'd like to know for investigations & playback what is the best equiptment to use?

what i mean is- i'm doing things in my own house for now -but for playback.. evp is twice as fast & above human pitch so i'm trying to find out how to adjust the playback so i can decipher it. i do have all the filtes & various things.

anyone that knows & wants to talk more indept can pm me.
i'm in so.ky. outside of bowling green area.

i have reaper, acoustica mixcraft & protools w/ multiple onboard & outboard signal processors, filters,& time manipulators.

i run recording sound & i have all the software for signal enhancement,key/time manipulation,& video apps. i don't mean to say "hire me" because other people already have that down. what i am asking is if someone can teach me this a bit for my own personal use & go from there.
i live in so.ky.(bowling green/glasgow area & it is really active around here including my own house. i'd like to capture it in the best way possible w/ evidence.

and to think.. i was a simple musician w/ a home recording studio in amish/civil war/ indian land.....lol

We only use digital recorders, we dont have any computers collecting audio from investigations. We use recorders like Zoom H4N and many others.

For playback and editing, I use the Cool Edit as well as the Wavepad, but I use the Wavepad more for enhancing the audio, cutting out parts, making new files from what Ive cut out, playing backwards, remmoving the hiss, etc. The recorders we use are Sony, RCA, Zoom, etc, I really like my Zoom H4N, it picks up very clear and not alot of background noise
