Big News For The Team!

Sorry... We're just so happy about this, that we wanted to share it.


In wanting to be as active in the community as we can, we looked into adopting a road here in town. Its a nice little gig. Show up a minimum of 4 times per year, and walk around picking up trash. The county supplies the vests, gloves, and bags. We already assist a friend of ours with his adopted road.

Interestingly, here in Sarasota, businesses cannot adopt within city limits, but non-profits can.

We got a copy of the list of available roads, and went for the 'Crown Jewel'. For some unknown reason, none of the 'big' non-profits (Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, etc...) had adopted St. Armands Circle.

We decided that we'd throw in for it just for grins-n-giggles, figuring that the oldsters on the city council would never let a paranormal team adopt it, as it is considered a very 'upper-crust' and 'snooty' location.

Boy, were we wrong......

The email came in last week, confirming that our application had been approved. As an added bonus, they put up a sign on the Circle stating that is was adopted by our team!

That is so awesome John, rock on SPIRIT, that is friggin coo, so what now, u have to clean that area or something? Or pay dues or whatever to keep clean?l

It's all free. All we have to do is go out there 4 times a year to clean the area. Even if only 3 of us go, it'll only take about a half hour to clean.

Most cities have an Adopt-A-Road program. You get to help the community, AND get some free advertising.

Sweet, that is a great gig!!! Way to get on the map and on the black top too!!! Plus your doing good for the community. Everyone wins!!!!!
