My name is John Eagen, and I am the Co-Founder/Team Director of S.P.I.R.I.T., Sarasota Paranormal Investigation and Research Initiative Team.

We are a group of researchers based in Sarasota, FL. We pride ourselves on being able to firstly take care of our clients' concerns, and secondly, collect data to help further the study of the paranormal world. We believe that through the 2-way flow of knowledge by working TOGETHER with other like-minded teams, Paranormal Research will one day be accepted as a mainstream science, and that one day, the truth will be known.

Welcome John & thanks for joining our forum. We too put our clients above all else, that is why we are doing this, to help them and keep them from being afraid in their homes or place of employ. Unity is something we also like to do, we have worked with several other groups, thats what needs to be done in this field in MY opinion if we are ever going to get answers, does not make any sense to me why groups want to try and outdo the others when we are all looking for the same answers. I like how you said "like minded" that is our slogan on our radio show, "bringing like minds together" =) Feel free to post anything you want on here, we do not judge anyones opinions, we can all learn something from other people, if anyone was a professional, we would have all the answers.

In this field, we are always learning, whether you've been at it a week, or 20 years. I personally think that the biggest advancements will come when more people start thinking 'outside the box', and daring to try avenues that others have not yet explored.

Absolutely but ppl only know what they learn and think that is the ony means of doing things and most learn from watching like Ghost Hunters and well, have my own opinion on them lol Your right though and maybe someday before our world ends we might be able to get some answers, who knows but until then, I'll keep trying lol

I agree what you said about this type of field becoming mainstream, as i told someone on the phone recently it will not! be such a taboo subject, and people will understand that one of the most important reasons and studies are to actually help people dealing on this matter as well as convincing are own minds that we are not going crazy after experiencing the unexplained.

As much as I am opposed to the whole "hunting" sensationalism that's on TV, it is helping the public become more open about the subject, and hopefully, more accepting.

Yes, that is the "good" thing about it cause ppl used to think I was crazy when I was growing up telling em I seen my grandpa or that I heard things and so forth.

I to agree with you John on getting the message out. I mean that is why I got a recorder to see if I could really get an EVP. However you do tend to see things differently when you are actually doing the investigating because everyone has their own style and own ideas, which is why we have this forum. We like to see everyones different ways and ideas of investigating. Thanks for coming on here and hope to see some of your ideas.

I gotta say that so far, I'm very impressed with the folks on the forum. No egomaniacs or 'rock stars'.
